Lookout Mountain Trailhead
Locals’ pickTime this one for sunset. It's a short climb to a flat-out spectacular viewpoint, and the trail crosses Montreat's private conservation land, so there's a $5 daily parking contribution at the gate. Pair it with a drink or a show at White Horse after.
