Craggy Gardens
A short trail off the Parkway that climbs through gnarled rhododendron tunnels to open views, and in mid-June the bloom is the reason people drive up. It's a gentler outing than the pinnacle just up the road. The visitor center and the trails are open again; the picnic area stays closed through 2026 while Helene repairs finish, and there's still construction traffic on the way up. Stunning views for a short walk, and the drive is most of the pleasure.
